Positive Material Identification (PMI): This is a non-destructive method used to identify the chemical composition of metal alloys.  It involves using a handheld device that emits a beam of radiation to measure the composition of the material.

Radiographic Testing (RT): This is a non-destructive testing method used to inspect the internal structure of a material using X-rays or gamma rays.  It is commonly used to detect flaws such as cracks or porosity.

Cryogenic testing is performed to verify the performance of the valve under extreme low-temperature conditions, such as in LNG (liquefied natural gas) applications.  This testing is conducted in accordance with the BS6364 standard, which specifies the test procedures and acceptance criteria for cryogenic valves.  The valve is subjected to extreme temperatures to ensure that it can withstand the cold and maintain its integrity.
